October is my favorite month for many reasons but one of the best is how prominent the color PINK is everywhere to help encourage awareness and support for breast cancer. My cute friend over at Pretty on a Dime (check her out, her blog is AMAZING!) decided to host an instagram challenge for the month of October to help spread awareness for this cause and the only rule is to blow up your feed with pink posts for 7 days straight! How could I say no to that? I completed the challenge for the first 7 days of October, but it runs all through October so you can join anytime you’d like and start! And is there really a bad time to spread awareness? I think not… so if you feel like doing it at another time during the year please do! Here are all of my posts below, and make sure to come follow me on insta so you can see more, I have some new fun challenges coming up and of course, ALL THE HAIR things. 🙂

DAY 1

It’s officially October, my absolute favorite month of the entire year! Amongst many (and I mean many!) reasons why I love October, one of my favorite reasons is because October is PINK month and pink is my favorite color. ?I love the romance, brightness, and femininity that the color pink exudes, and I love how it is a symbol of strength and unity in the fight against breast cancer. Because October is breast cancer awareness month, @prettyonadimeblog is hosting a #7daysofpinkchallenge to spread awareness for breast cancer so for the next 7 days, I will be posting a lot of pink! #cancersucks#breastcancerawareness #october #pink

DAY 2

#7daysofpinkchallenge day 2 is a perfect excuse to post this photo of my spawnling dangling off the cutest pink couch that I NEED to have. Really @hallofbreakfast should thank me for not stealing it on my way out. #pink#breastcancerawareness #cancersucks

This photo was originally taken at the Hall of Breakfast, you can find more cute ones from that day in this post HERE.

DAY 3

On Wednesdays, we wear pink ? …or kiss pink birds at the very least. #7daysofpinkchallenge#breastcancerawareness #flamingokisses

DAY 4

The best piece of advice I’ve ever gotten is to just get comfortable with being uncomfortable. If people stayed inside the box of their comfort zones, nothing would ever move forward. Push yourself out of your comfort zone and get used to being there, being uncomfortable. You’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish and the more you push yourself, the more comfortable you are with being uncomfortable which leads to even more success. Today’s after-work look is a pink head wrap so I don’t have to deal with the mane. I have several wraps but the pink is my fave, and perfect for the #7daysofpinkchallenge ? #breastcancerawareness #pink

DAY 5

Highly amused. #pink#breastcancerawareness#7daysofpinkchallenge

DAY 6

I’m just going to float away in this swirly pink water ??? Day 6 of the #7daysofpinkchallenge ❤️ #breastcancerawareness #pink

Celebrating the final day of the #7daysofpinkchallenge with pink balloons! It might seem like something very small to participate in an instagram challenge to spread awareness, but the truth is not every person can make a huge difference in every situation. It’s the small steps we all take toward things we believe in, the small choices we make, the small differences we can expend our energy on that truly end up making the largest collective difference. Everyone has the power to do something, whether it’s a huge gesture or something as small as participating in an Instagram challenge or lending a listening ear. I hope everyone finds the opportunity in the next few weeks to find a cause you believe in and take action to support it. #pink#breastcancerawareness #bethechange

Stay tuned for another challenge I’ll be doing this month on my instagram to encourage body positivity~
