I’ve never tried cactus water of any kind that I can remember, so when Green-Go reached out to me and asked if I wanted to try it, I was all in. I like to try and be a “yes man” so to speak, and I love trying new things, so how could I not try this out??
Green-Go cactus water uses the paddle section of the Nopal cactus to create a delicious, calorie-free alternative beverage to promote a hydration and healthy living. It’s an all-natural product and tastes amazing!

Speaking of taste, let’s talk about that for a minute. Now, I’m not a picky eater in the way that I can make myself eat or drink just about anything, but I do get picky when it comes to flavors that I actually LIKE to eat and drink. Especially with drinks, I tend to be pretty sensitive to strong flavors and scents, which both make me nauseated. I was a little apprehensive going into this because I wasn’t sure what I’d think, but the first word that comes to mind at the first sip is FRESH.
Green-Go cactus water tastes a little bit like green unsweetened tea, but isn’t quite as strong. It’s a very subtle, light flavor that feels fresh (like the feeling you get when you take a bite of a cucumber!) and it dissipates very quickly, which means there isn’t a horrid aftertaste either. It’s SO good! I honestly don’t know how to explain it, other than it tastes like you think a cactus would tase…but in the BEST way. The flavor I have says “hint of lemon” on it, but to me it wasn’t lemon-y at all, it just tastes so…. fresh. That’s the best word for it. Fresh.
I did a quick taste test, trying it out before putting it in the fridge and then after putting it in the fridge to compare. Overall, I definitely prefer this as a cold beverage, so if you’re trying it out make sure to chill it in the fridge first. It just feels more crisp!
The other thing that I love is how immediately hydrating it feels! I felt like I had five or six full glasses of water after just one of the Green-Go cactus waters. I also love that it’s a healthy alternative to drinking things like juice or powerade, which can have a lot of sugar and extra calories.
Overall, my thoughts and experience with Green-Go cactus water have all been very positive and I can’t wait to stock up my fridge with this stuff for the hot summer days that are coming up.
Huge thank you to Green-Go for sending this over to me to try!
