Hello Lovelies! Long time, no post! Because of that, I just want to first off apologize that it has been so long! These last few weeks have been nothing short of completely crazy because I have been finishing school. Yes, I said FINISHING! That is right folks, last Friday I made the walk to claim my degree! Finally! If you want to read more about that, click here! So, as you can imagine, all of my efforts have been focused on that and sadly, more poor blog and readers got neglected 🙁 Again, I am so sorry and hope you can forgive me, especially because I have some big, BIG changes and exciting things coming soon. When I started this blog, I started more to document my own journey but as it has grown, I have really found a true love and passion for doing it, whether people read it or not, haha! But I also didn’t know how much work goes into blogging. It is hard work you guys, it requires time and knowledge and commitment and a voice- really for my friends making big bucks doing this full time I solute you because it is not as easy as it seems! So, now that I have finished my degree I am really going to focus my energy into some fun projects for this blog and I can’t wait for everyone to take this little journey with me, too! 🙂

On a more serious note, as it is Monday today I figured it was about time I started back up with my regular Monday Sunshine posts, and today I have found a sparkling, shiny, glorious gem. I recently ran across a few various texts written by Brazilian novelist and lyricist Paulo Coelho (thanks, Pinterest!) and there are a few things that he says that I just love. I highly encourage taking a look at some quotes from him because pretty much I just want to print them off and put them all over my bathroom mirrors (anyone else do that with quotes they love?) But for today, I just want to focus on one that I have really been thinking about.

“Don’t Say Maybe If You Want To Say No.”

Why have I been thinking about this? Well, I am someone that has a hard time saying no to people, especially if they are asking for a favor. The problem with this is that then I end up overburdening myself with too many things to do and then I don’t do a good job at any of them, or I completely fall through and someone that might have been relying on me gets let down simply because I just couldn’t keep up with all of the things I had committed to. I love this quote because it is a reminder that it is OK to say “No” sometimes. We aren’t robots, we can’t do everything all the time, it is good to prioritize and sometimes to say No to people. Even if you are in a position where you could say Yes and you just don’t want to, don’t commit to saying maybe. Maybe gives hope and the person may rely on you, and often times Maybe leads to you saying Yes to something you don’t want to do. If you want to say No, just say No. Ladies, it is easy to load yourself up with too much to do, stress yourself out, and forget to take care of yourself! Don’t let this happen by being afraid of telling people No! And seriously, check out more words from Paulo Coelho on Pinterest or at this link here, because he is truly an inspired individual!
