I gave up living a life of normality a long time ago. For a long time I tried, tried to be “in” with the latest trends and keep it classy like a wonderful, picture perfect mother and wife. HA. Let’s just say it is not even worth the energy to do that. I am a nerd/geek/dork/anything else similar in nature. Sometimes I can keep that crazy inner nerd girl at bay with reading and daydreaming, but today I got to unleash the inner nerd! (Maybe I should do a post on ‘nerd girl problems,’ what do you think?) Welcoming a trip to Comic-Con, where geeks unite to revel in their dorky-ness and love for all things superhero/gaming/fantasy/comics/etc.
This has been on my bucket list since I was….oh, old enough to know what Comic-Con is? FINALLY I was able to cross it off the list! Tony and I took his two little brothers with us on our adventure out to Comic-Con and together, the four of us dressed as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Don’t get your hopes up, I was feeling a little too overwhelmed with other stuff this month to really come up with an awesome costume- so we just got t-shirts and I quick-stitched up a few masks for us. Here are a few photos from our adventure throughout the day!

I feel like life would probably just be better if it were acceptable to dress up as a different fictional character daily and you could go about your daily activities as a super hero. What a morality booster that would be! Maybe I would actually get more done in a day! Ha!
