I thought I’d give everyone a break from all of the baby posts that I’ve done (especially since more are coming! Ha!) and post about the Holi Festival we went to earlier this year. I actually intended to blog about it a while ago but with being pregnant and everything I had going I just simply forgot about it until I was scrolling through my photos today and thought, “oh yeah!!! I remember this!” I thought about just not sharing since it’s been so long but we had SO much fun and I love these couple of photos of Sydney so…… here I am posting 😉
Every year in Utah down at the Krishna temple in Spanish Fork they host the Hindu Holi Festival to celebrate the coming of spring. This year was the first year that we brought Sydney along and I was worried that she’d be whining the whole time and hate getting dirty (she literally feels the need to take a bath over the slightest drop of anything on her, she likes to be clean!) but she totally got into it and had a blast. As a mom, I was dying from the cuteness, haha! And I was also really proud of myself for getting my fat, grumpy, 7 month pregnant whale self to drive all the way out there and walk around for several hours, not to mention the long walk from where we parked to the grounds! Go me! Below is a video that my husband took of our experience there if you want to check it out and see what our day was like, and don’t mind the little (or gigantic) waddle I’m doing through the entire video, ha!

[…] These are some of the photos that Kellie took while we were there (bless her for putting up with us all day!) and I just wanted to share them because the just embody how much fun we have. I think the thing that I love about going more than anything is just the friendly, positive atmosphere. Nobody is rude, people bump into strangers and it’s exciting, everyone is smiling or laughing or singing and dancing- it is really just such a good all around energy that is going on down there and you just leave feeling pumped and inspired and loving everyone on the planet haha. That kind of spiritual feeling of positivity is the boost I need after the death of winter and that’s why we go every year! ? You can find our post from last year here. […]
